Today, March 31, 2008:

Marshal's Winery has grown from offering a few wine selections to producing over ten wines.  Their offerings of Reisling, Syrah, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc, Chardonnay, and special blends Stoneface and Red Lantern come from their own vines.  Marshal's Winery has opened a new tasting room along WA. Hwy. 14 east of the town of Murdock WA over looking the Columbia River. Visit and become part of their mailing list to receive notice of their Open House and Wine Tasting  Luncheons held several times during the year.  Marshal's Winery has come along way since our first visited, yet maintain a consitant wine.  We recommend and buy Marshal's wine.  Further information is available www.marshalswa.com or email: marshalswinery@gorge.net

Domaine Pierre Noire is a petite winery located in the hills above Lyle, Washington.  At the moment the owners Juliet and Alexis Puillion select grapes from local vineyards to blend into what we think is a delightful selection of white and red wines.  Their Gewürztraminer is a light white without the heavy sweet taste of most Gewürztraminer’s that is great for a light luncheon or an aperitif on a hot afternoon.  The Vin Blanc is a blend of Chardonnay and Viognier that goes well with any fish dish, while the Vin Rouge is a blend of Cabernet and Syrah that is wonderful with any other dinner selection.   Domaine Pierre Noire continues create unique wine blends.  We recommend and buy Domaine Pierre Noire wines.

Domaine Pierre Noire offers a schedule of Le Vigneron’s Luncheons that present a chance for wine tasting and wine conversation during an excellent luncheon of their wines and local organic foods. Email them to become part of their mailing list and receive notice of The Le Vigneron’s Luncheons served to a small group in the winery’s rustic setting in the hills above the Columbia River.  We personally attended two luncheons in 2007 and had a delightful time.  Reservations are required so visit their web-site www.domainepierreniore.com or email: dpnwine@gmail.com
